One of our customers requires a small level of inventory on hand in case of an emergency, a sudden increase in demand, or a damaged shipment. SFS established a guaranteed inventory level at our facility, providing them with the security they need without costing them valuable production space.
Another customer that uses our warehousing service is a catalog based company. When someone orders from their catalog, the order comes right to SFS. We ship directly from our facility. This allows our customer to keep the prices low, because they are not paying for a private warehousing and distribution building. We also maintain the level of inventory to make certain that our customer can handle any size order.
Automotive companies are also big fans of our warehousing capabilities. They often provide releases for the production of parts but do not provide ship dates or locations. We produce the parts and warehouse them until the automotive company knows which plant needs the parts and when.
